My Story

"I'm always working on something. Most of the time in Key West, I'm focused on creating culinary menus in many cuisines for my clients to handle their nutritional needs. But often I get the chance to experiment and create with new concepts and ideas that I just love".

Executive Summary:
Kirt Ohler attended Pepperdine University, where he studied math, business and hotel / restaurant management. From 1981-1992 he was Chef / Executive Chef at the Moonshadows Restaurant in Malibu, CA., the Palm Beach Country Club, Palm Beach, FL., and the Casa Marina, Key West, FL., and the Palace Hotel, ST. Moritz, Switzerland. As Chef / Executive Chef he was responsible for the overall operations of the restaurants, food quality, and the profit and loss and supervised from 8 too approximately 80+ employees and volumes from 3 million single themed stand alone operations to 12+ million multi venue locations. All establishments enjoyed significantly increased revenues and reduced food cost under his leadership. During this period, Kirt found it more lucrative to work on a consulting basis and had the opportunity to work with many of the industry leaders in the Hospitality and Restaurant industry. From 1993-1999 he founded and was President of Floral Design of Europe Inc. and 1997-2000 was President & CEO of FloralDesign.com LLLP. And utilized his expertise in the Hospitality and Restaurant industry, along with his operations and leadership skills, to build the premier floral company in the Rocky Mountain Region as well as competing globally. Recently he negotiated the successful sale of the two companies, and is currently closing on the sale of intellectual property for www.FarBeyondFlowers.com .In 2000 Kirt re-entered the hotel / restaurant industry as Executive Chef for the NotchTop Bistro, Boulder, Co. and In 2002 he was recruited by the Ritz-Carlton to join a new start up in Vail, Co.
